I know that people in NIT keep committing suicide every now and then, because of whatever reasons, and nobody gives a damn. It doesn't even reach the newspaper. Thats because it's settled into everyone's mind that IITians are here to do good to the nation. And obviously, the media will jump at any opportunity to sell their news, because people will obviously find such news interesting. Yeah, I know the way they exaggerate and give hype to anything unusual that happens in IIT.
